ReplyDeleteOne of my friends said i should come to you for advice.
So there's this guy... (yes, i know how that sounds)
He is very sweet and very nice, and when he met my dad when my dad was driving us home from a play, he was very polite, saying "yes sir", and "no sir".
From the way he blushed and hemmed and hawed when he asked for my email address when i met him at his older sisters party, i have a definite feeling that he might like me.
And i like him back. He is sweet and nice, he has the same sense of humor as i do, and we share knowledge of obscure things.
Now i have a problem. Some of my friends (most of them really) say that i should 'ask him out'(whatever that might entail for people of our age)but i am not sure. I like him as a friend as well as slightly more romanticly, and i have seen from other girls at school how short that kind of relationship can last, whereas friendships last much longer.
So Chewie; What should I do? Should i ask him out?
Wait for him to ask me out? Be fine with 'Just Friends'?

ReplyDeleteWell it sounds like he really does like you, boys don't ask girls for there emails for nothing! Now here's the point for you to think about, do you think if you dated, you would get to see each other in person lots? If you think you would i say, why not ask him out! The worst he can say is no! Plus its not like you have to see him everyday so if things go bad, its not like you have to be embaressed when you see him! If you think he's more of a friend then boyfriend material, keep the friendship! Friendships can last a lifetime! SO if you think he would be a friend for a long time, I say get to know him, see what he's like then decide. Remeber you can always be the one to ask him out! There is no rule saying girls can't ask guys out. Follow your heart and you'll make the right decision! Good luck! Thanks for following my blog! :D

I c u have a big bone. I have a small dog and have always given her small bones. Is this big bone treat a good idea for small dogs. I thought it was bad for their jaw and teeth. What's your opinion?

ReplyDeleteIt depends if your dog is a chewing dog. I love to chew chew chew and i end up eating all the small bones. I'e had Big BOne for 3 months and have hardly made a dent! It all depends of the dog.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why I'm apprehensive to do anything that might make it odd between the boy and I is that I am going to have to spend a lot of time with his older sister and if something... bad had happened between us, that could get awkward.

I can't move forward in my story and whenever i write a line it sounds awful. I was able to bang out 4 chapters last night but now i'm stuck.

ReplyDeleteTake a break! Writing is supposed to be fun! So get away from it until you think your calm and ready to come back. Writing doesn't have to be a rushed thing, take your time and breath. Take time and put thought into each line you write so your satisfied with it. And if you get frustrated, simply stop! BTW: I tried to write a book before I did Ask Chewie and i got too frustrated and quit. lol :D

ReplyDeleteI took a break, eat some ice cream, watched some vlogbrothers, and at different points in time something would come to me. A line in a song, the sound of John Green's voice, certain things would remind me of the mood that i needed to be writing in. Right now i'm on the 5th chapter, and i need to start planning what points I want to hit in each chapter... or i could just let the muse hit me when she will. Whichever. : )

ReplyDeleteI am writing a book about the Evil Baby Orphanage. To fully understand about the Evil Baby Orphanage, you need to watch the vlogbrothers @ www.youtube.com/user/vlogbrothers
Basically,the story revolves around Sarah no-last-name (i haven't come up with it yet) and Johnson Wilson Smith, two 14 year old kids in the Bable Ivy Orphanage. No one is aloud to leave the orphanage. No one ever comes in to adopt kids. It's really rather strange orphanage. Sarah is independent and likes to prove her self, by stealing things to prove her strength. Johnson is a quiet guy who likes to stay out of the way. And somehow they became best friends. Things start getting strange when Sarah finds a file on Johnson Smith and Johnson starts discovering odd things about the orphanage. When they discover a dangerous secret, it's up to to them to fight the owners of the Bable Ivy Orphanage, and quite possibly, the international government of the far distance future. This book is meant to explore the question of second chances, fate and whether who we are is predestined.
Oh, and DFTBA stands for Don't Forget To Be Awesome. This is another vlogbrothers joke. The book is also peppered with more Nerdfighter (who fight for nerds, kind of like freedom fighters and are followers of the vlogbrothers).

ReplyDeleteSo the video didnt make much sense??? It was about Losing the Game????? That didn't help me fully understand the Evil Baby Orphanage lol. But it was very interesting to watch! i like your plot, it's got depth, theme, excitement, thrillers, sadness, compare and contrast, it's very strong. And if your a good writer, I think you could make one heck of a book! Have you written books before??? Thats pretty advanced for a first time writer. How does a book get peppered with Nerdfighter??? lol Keep on writing!

hi chewie, sorry im being a stalker, but im colleen and kristens friend and they recomended this blog to me. anyway, im haley and i do the blog with colleen, because we are both writing the story. both of us use her blog, so we try to distinguish who is writing be saying "dear haley" or "dear colleen". the blog is our way of communicating about the story to each other, so that others can watch it come together.
ReplyDeletespoiler alerts are posted in the title or at the beginning of each post that talks about further events in the story. if you dont mind knowing what will happen, go ahead and read these, but if you dont want to know, just ignore them.

ReplyDeleteok....first off, thats very bad for your dog! especially if he/she eats older pennies. Older pennies have a chemical that can poison your dog! If your coins aren't coming out the other end of your dog, they could be backed up and causing your dog to have intestinal problems. I recommend you take your dog to the vet! Please do that for your dogs sake and DONT let him/her eat anymore coins!!!!!!!!!

i have this friend, she moved away almost a year ago, but we are still really close. we email a lot, and text, and call each other and stuff. once in a while we talk face to face too.
so shes started to ignore my emails and phone calls and im wondering why. she usually takes a while to get back to my emails, but never over a week! and she rarely answers her phone, but she always responds to my messages.
i dont know what to do because she called my other friend, and she still hasnt contacted me! i was thinking she was mad at me, so i asked her what was wrong, and still no reply! im starting to feel really hurt, and i have no way to talk to her other than face to face, but i wont see her for another month!
i dont want to seem annoying, but i dont know what else to do! what do you think?

ReplyDeleteJust go for it! Call her up, take a chance! At first it may seem clingy but it's like you don't wanna lose your bff? And sometimes, after you've done your best, you just gotta give up, let it go. It's a sad thing, but obviously if she cant take time out of her life to give you a call or email you, shes not a very good friend. It's hard, been there done that. But you soon realize that you have better friends that care about contacting you and talking to you. Those are the kind of friends you wanna keep. I hope everything works out. I know you'll make the right choice!
